Nigerian singer Davido claims he told the Warri Again show organisers months ago that he wouldn’t be attending, but they kept using his name to advertise the event.

Davido assailed Mr. Pinnick, the former president of the Nigeria Football Federation, in a series of social media posts. He stated that he wishes to donate twice as much to any football-related charitable organisation as was paid to him.

Recalled that Pinnick criticised Davido for not being at the concert despite collecting full payment of an excess of $94,600 at the show that took place last Friday, October 6.

Speaking at the event, Pinnick disclosed that they paid $18,000 for Davido to fly in on a private jet to play at the event in Warri, Delta State, but Davido didn’t show up. He continued by equating the performer to Burna Boy, whom he referred to as Nigeria’s biggest superstar.

The sports administrator believes that Davido shouldn’t consider himself “big” because Delta State has also made contributions to Nigeria’s entertainment industry. Burna Boy hails in part from Itsekiri in Delta State, he said. He added that Delta state is also the home of comedian Alibaba and actor Richard Mofe-Damijo.

Once again, Nigerian singer Davido has made headlines for proving his status as a rich man with two luxury cars entering Nigeria: a Rolls-Royce and a Tesla Cybertruck.

The musician posted a picture of the trip on social media, his pure white Rolls Royce parked on the runway, ready for shipment.

Another photo depicted the Tesla Cybertruck being loaded into an aircraft to verify the truck’s arrival in Nigeria.
