A Nigerian man known as Joseph has been left in a state of confusion and heartbreak after finding that two of his three children were fathered by his elder brother.

This is just for illustration purposes.

The shocking discovery, shared on Facebook by Gistlover, has sparked broad reactions on social media.

Joseph, who had moved to the United Kingdom on a visiting visa, left his wife and three children in the care of his older brother.

Throughout his five-year stay abroad, he carefully sent money back home to build a house and pay for his family’s upkeep.

Upon his return to Nigeria to arrange visas for his family to join him in the UK, Joseph needed to perform DNA tests as part of the visa process.

These tests showed that only the first child was his, while his elder brother fathered the other two.

“Good day, multimedia,

“My name is Joseph; I have been travelling to the UK for over five years. I left my wife in Nigeria because I am travelling to the UK via a visiting visa; I can work here, but I need to get my papers ready to travel back to Nigeria.

“I have been working so hard here, sending money to my senior brother to help me build my house and care for my wife and our parents.

“I had three children with my wife before I left Nigeria, so now my Document is ready. I travel back to Nigeria to take my family to the UK. I got to Nigeria to see my wife and my children and the building my brother helped me with,

When I got home, My brother took me to the building, a lovely house. I was thrilled. I requested the documents for the building, and all the documents were in my brother’s name; I was shocked.

“Secondly, after processing the visa for my wife and children, the embassy requested a DNA test of the children; only the firstborn belongs to me, and the two children belong to my elder brother.

I was shocked, shattered and confused.

“Everything was a shock to our mother. My wife begged me, but I see my wife and brother as enemies.

“Our family is begging me to continue with the visa processing for the three kids and continue to marry my wife, but I am confused.
