40-Year-Old Actress, Toke Makinwa Expresses Her Desire To Remarry
Nollywood actress Toke Makinwa has shared her wish to remarry.
The 40-year-old expressed that marriage is among the most beautiful institutions, even with its challenges.
In a recent podcast interview, she conversed with British-Nigerian media personality Madame Joyce.
She said, “People always think I hate men or a feminist who bashes men. I have been married before, and marriage is one of the most beautiful institutions.
“I see marriage like the relationship between siblings. If your siblings come to visit, the first couple of days are exciting. You guys wear matching pyjamas, sleep in the same bed, and catch up on all the lost years or lost moments. By the third day, it’s like, ‘Close my f*cking door. Who wore my shoes? Where are my earrings? Please, when are you going back to your house? Please, I am tired.’ And that was how I saw it.
“There were days when I would rush home to tell my ex-husband everything I had been through. And there were days when I woke up in the morning, I said, ‘God, you must hate me for me to marry this idiot. This is not life; this must be hell.’ That was how I saw it. And it didn’t work out many years ago. But I still fancy the institution. I do want to get married again.
“It hasn’t happened yet. I’m not ruling it out. I am just taking my time. Maybe it’s not God’s time yet. Whenever he is ready, I just hope I am not wrinkled [laughs].”
Toke Makinwa had been once married to entrepreneur Maje Ayida. They tied the knot in 2014, but their union came to an end in 2017.
Recently, reports emerged that she had married her rumoured long-time partner, Farouk Umar.

However, the actress quickly dismissed the rumours, stating that they were mere “besties” and that the supposed wedding ceremony was actually her thanksgiving event.
Once again, Nigerian singer Davido has made headlines for proving his status as a rich man with two luxury cars entering Nigeria: a Rolls-Royce and a Tesla Cybertruck.
The musician posted a picture of the trip on social media, his pure white Rolls Royce parked on the runway, ready for shipment.
Another photo depicted the Tesla Cybertruck being loaded into an aircraft to verify the truck’s arrival in Nigeria.
Cubana Chief Priest, another close associate and entrepreneur, also saluted the new cars with an Instagram image. He congratulated Davido on his feats, dubbed him the “GOAT,” and hinted at a festive December with new vehicles added to the singer’s collection.

Show promoter Paul Okoye, popularly called PaulO, has slammed lawyer Deji Adeyanju for attributing Burna Boy to the re-arrest of singer Speed Darlington.
Deji announced on social media earlier today that his client, Speed Darlington, was re-arrested by police officials in Owerri, Imo State, on Tuesday, November 26.
He went on to claim that Burna Boy was responsible for the ”harassment” of his client by police officers.
It was then determined that Speed Darlington had been detained for violating his bail.
In response to the latest information about Speed Darlington’s arrest, Paulo urged Deji to get his facts straight and respect Burna Boy.

Nigerian superstar singer David Adeleke, famously known as Davido, has taken to social media to extend a gibe to Nigerians over his recent interview with a U.S. radio station where he asked Africans in the diaspora not to return to Africa as things are not ‘’good back home.”
In the interview, the singer Davido firmly said the Nigerian economy is in shambles.
