Chidimma Susan Ezenyili, a 37-year-old Nigerian lawyer turned caregiver in the United Kingdom, tragically collapsed on February 22 and passed away two days later.

Suzy gave the utmost care to elderly Lan Hale in Bishop’s Stortford when the incident occurred. Despite not feeling well herself, Ezenyili continued her duties before collapsing.

Ezenyili and her husband, Friday, had left Nigeria in August 2023 to work as caregivers in the UK, hoping to provide a better life for their daughter, Mandy.

Over the past five months, she had been caring for the 86-year-old Hale. Catherine Segal, Hale’s daughter, recounted the heartbreaking event and praised the community’s quick response in trying to save Ezenyili’s life.

Despite the efforts of medical professionals at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Ezenyili suffered a severe brain hemorrhage, leading to the difficult decision to turn off life support on February 24.
