A woman accused of impersonating a schoolgirl to entice teenage boys as young as 12 is back in court as additional victims come forward.

Alyssa Ann Zinger of Tampa, Florida, was arrested after reportedly impersonating as 14-year-old girl and texting young guys on Snapchat.

On November 24, 2023, the 23-year-old was arrested on two counts of lewd and lascivious battery and five counts of lewd or lascivious molestation on a victim aged 12 to 15.

Zinger, who was 22 at the time of her arrest, told her accused victims she was home-schooled while communicating with them online.

During the early inquiries, one teenage boy said that his alleged relationship with her lasted from May to September 2023, and the two had sex at least 30 times at his home.

He further stated that Zinger told him she had been sleeping with other students aged 12 to 15.

Zinger also sent explicit photographs and films to pupils, according to police.

She was apprehended after she and a student were allegedly discovered shoplifting at a department store, and detectives were unable to match her name to the date of birth she provided.

She was freed from Orient Road Jail on November 24 after posting a $7,500 bond for each second-degree felony charge, according to records.

According to search warrants, Zinger and one boy allegedly met on Snapchat in late May 2023. Until their breakup in September, the claimed victim thought she was fourteen.

The police were made aware of the relationship in October.

According to Tampa Police Department Chief Lee Bercaw, “It is disturbing and unsettling to see an adult exploit and prey on a child.”

“We invite anyone who believes they were a victim of Zinger’s to come forward. The Tampa Police Department will assist you in ensuring that a predator like Zinger does not cause you or others further damage.

According to a Hillsborough County Schools representative, the suspect never posed as a student on their campuses.

“This did not happen at my school. However, we are grateful that a kid felt safe enough to approach an adult on campus and inform them about this individual,” district spokesman Tanya Arja stated.

“Our staff immediately contacted law enforcement so they could begin an investigation.”

In July, the accused and victim were suspected of theft from Nordstrom on International Plaza and Bay Street.

Zinger identified herself as an officer by name but claimed to have been born in 2009.

However, when the cop couldn’t uncover any information about her with the 2009 date, Alyssa Ann Zinger, born in 2001, was discovered.

Zinger claimed to have a half-sister of the same name.

However, once the relationship was uncovered, Zinger’s bosses at a Tampa Publix certified her as a legal adult.
