Nigerian Lady Who Failed To Get Admission Into UNILAG Twice Bags Two Fully Funded Scholarships In US
After failing two times to get admitted into the University of Lagos, an X user shared how his sister-in-law was awarded two fully funded scholarships to a U.S. University.

@captainarinze on X claims his sister-in-law failed to get into UNILAG to study medicine after scoring 284 on her first JAMB. Even with her 320 score the following year, Unilag refused to admit her.

However, after scoring 1450 on the SAT exam, she received two entirely financed scholarships and one-half scholarship to a U.S. institution.
In his words,
“My sister-in-law is an intelligent girl. She scored 284 on her first JAMB but couldn’t enter Unilag to study medicine. The following year, she scored 320, but still no admission into Unilag (I can’t explain it). I couldn’t just sit back and watch her talent go to waste.
So, I got her to take the SAT exam. She prepped for only two weeks and scored 1450. We started applying for scholarships in the U.S., and she got two fully funded scholarships and one partial one. Last week, she went for her visa interview. In a few months, she’ll be heading to the United States.

1. I am still confused that she couldn’t get into Unilag. Something needs to be fixed with our system.

3. It’s a shame we keep losing our brightest minds.
4. To be successful, you need opportunity, information, and access.”

Coming out as HIV positive was harder than coming out as gay — Gay activist Bisi Alimi
Bisi further added that an average man expects to follow a predefined path of growth, which includes teenage years through university level, to get a degree and a job.
He noted that he couldn’t follow the predefined path of growth, which was why he came out to declare his sexual orientation.
Bisi Alimi further said that his making his sexual orientation public doesn’t mean he did to throw a party, but rather to shun all expected people placed on him.
”I am not coming out to spite you; I have been gay since way back; I didn’t just become gay yesterday.”
