Shocking As Female Varsity Student Arrested For Allegedly Throwing Her One-Day-Old Baby To Death From Second Floor (VIDEO)

A female student at Gombe State University in Gombe has been detained on suspicion of murdering her one-day-old baby, whom she allegedly tossed from the second story of the female hostel.

The newborn’s body was discovered in the early hours of Saturday, September 9, outside Hall IV of the female hostels by a passerby who raised the alarm only to learn that the baby had already died due to an injury to the right leg.

According to a student at the school who spoke to the Nation, the infant’s mother had been hiding the pregnancy under her headscarf gown for months to avoid detection.

Mohammed Abubakar, the University Public Relations Officer, confirmed the occurrence.

“It has been confirmed that a baby was thrown from a height in one of the female hostels. This is a serious action, and the university is investigating it, and disciplinary action will be taken because murdering a baby is a crime.” There is no problem with delivering the baby today, but killing an innocent day-old infant is a crime,” Abubakar added.
