Assassin’s Creed Mirage Game Coming To iPhone And iPad Soon, Ubisoft Confirms Date Of Release

Assassin's Creed Mirage

Ubisoft has said that starting June 6, the Assassin’s Creed Mirage game can be downloaded on the iPhone and iPad.

Mirage is the latest in the long-running Assassin’s Creed series of games that have spanned nearly two decades.

The game came out for the first time on PC and hardware in October of last year. When Mirage came out, it was the first major Assassin’s Creed game to be made for mobile devices.

At Apple’s iPhone 15 event in September of last year, the game was first shown off. It was set to come out “early next year.”

That clearly didn’t work out, even though the other games talked about in the keynote—Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4 Remake, and Death Stranding Director’s Cut—have been coming out on time.

Still, we finally have a date, but the start of a meeting with WWDC 2024 was delayed.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be compatible with the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPads running the M1 and later chips. So far, there has yet to be any word of support for M-series Macs.

The game is now available to ‘pre-order’; you can hit the download button now, and the game will automatically download on June 6 as it becomes available.

The game is free to download, with the opportunity to open entirely using in-app purchases. Note that the App Store currently shows the date as June 10 for release, and it needs to be clarified if it’s a mistake on Apple’s part or Ubisoft’s.

Samsung’s Urgent Software Update Rolls Out

Samsung has deployed an imperative software update for some Galaxy devices. A good number of users came across a pop-up message on their home screen urging them to install the recent update.

This update has been rolled out specifically for the Smart Switch Agent. While it appears to be an ordinary update, it could carry significant enhancements for your Galaxy device.

The role of the Smart Switch Agent is to aid in data transfers. This means it’s a vital tool allowing Galaxy users to move their data and applications easily. However, there is speculation that the agent might have been exposed to a considerable threat or fault, hence the need for an immediate update.

The update, weighing just around 3 megabytes, offers two options for users: updating with a single click or canceling the operation. Note that updating via your mobile network could incur extra charges, and if viable, updating via a WiFi network is advised. Post-update, your device might restart.

In parallel with these updates, Samsung continues to dish out its November 2024 security updates for its Galaxy devices. Interestingly, its Galaxy Tab S7 FE was the first device to receive the November update, which kicked off in the last week of October 2024.

This patch will likely enhance device performance, streamline functioning, and make system animations and transitions more reliable.

From flagship phones to mid-range and affordable models, Samsung makes a habit of regularly updating a broad range of its Galaxy devices, providing them with the latest software updates according to a planned schedule and device eligibility.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Release Date, Specs, And Features

Rumours predict that the release date of the next-generation Samsung Galaxy S25 line will be January 22, 2025.

Samsung Galaxy S25

This date is quite some time later than the Galaxy S24, which launched on January 17 2024. Depending on time zone differences, it could happen on January 23 in Korea and February 22 in other places, such as the United States.

Galaxy Unpacked, like all previous launches, will be held in San Francisco.

The flagship range will include three devices: Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra.

But now Samsung is apparently coming out with something more — the Galaxy S25 “Slim.” The company appears to be speeding up its rollout, perhaps exhibiting it in January with the main series. It was initially forecast for 2025.

Galaxy S25 Slim will also be slender in form, which means that it will potentially be one of Samsung’s slimmest phones. It’s expected to be a minimalist design with market-leading specs. While originally scheduled for a future release, it could be Samsung’s deliberate reaction to expected ultra-slim designs by competitors like Apple.

Key Features and Improvements

Design enhancements: The Galaxy S25 Ultra is said to have better ergonomics with slender side rails and rounded corners. It’s also probably going to be a tad smaller than its predecessor, too, rumoured to be around 0.5mm shorter and 1.4mm thinner.

The phone will remain super-thin, making it lighter than other flagship devices such as the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Upgrades to Cameras: The Galaxy S25 and S25+ might undergo a big overhaul when they replace their cameras with Sony cameras, which are not as efficient as Samsung’s standard ISOCELL cameras.

But Samsung’s flagship sensors are expected to remain on the S25 Ultra, maybe with the 200MP+ processor we saw on the earlier iterations. This shift could enhance picture quality, especially at night, and video quality.

Software and User Interface: The Samsung Galaxy S25 line is expected to feature Samsung’s new One UI 7 interface with Android 15. This release introduces an entire overhaul, including cleaner icons, animated transitions, and better notification controls.

Adding powerful AI capabilities will enhance the experience for the most part, particularly personal recommendation and energy savings.

Performance Expectations: Samsung will introduce the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset on the Galaxy S25 lineup that can deliver faster performance and high efficiency.

The chipset should become the default on devices in key markets, including North America and Europe and be viable for flagship smartphones by 2025.

Release Date and Availability:

According to Samsung’s previous plan, pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 could start a short time after the announcement ceremony, and the phones will hit the market sometime in early February.

Although announced during the ceremony, the S25 Slim could still launch later on, possibly in Q2 2025. This approach can allow Samsung to make inroads into different market verticals throughout the year.

Overall, the Galaxy S25 line promises to challenge the boundaries of design, performance, and user experience, and it is among the most anticipated devices in early 2025.

Call Of Duty Mobile Celebrates 5th Anniversary With A Billion Downloads

Call of Duty: Mobile is commemorating its 5th anniversary, which includes the statement that the game has been downloaded one billion times since its introduction in 2019.

Call Of Duty

It’s hard to believe Call of Duty: Mobile has been around so long.

It appears that the game was only recently released on Android and iOS devices. Introducing a degree of quality to mobile gaming that is still a rarity today.

It’s especially shocking, given that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile exists. Warzone Mobile is, of course, a completely different game that is intended to be developed in tandem with the core console and PC Call of Duty games.

As a result, you’ll have weapons and skins that work across the mobile game as well as the PC and console versions. In addition to the shared XP gains.

However, with Warzone Mobile accessible, some fans were left wondering what would happen to Call of Duty: Mobile. Would Activision try to kill it off now that there is a new mobile Call of Duty title? Activision promptly dispelled these rumours and anxieties, stating that the company had no plans to discontinue the game.

Call Of Duty

Noting that it will be “supported for the long haul.” That leads us to today, the game’s fifth anniversary, with likely (and ideally) many more years to come.

The Call of Duty: Mobile 5-year celebration will begin with a new map.

This year’s anniversary will be marked by the release of Krai, a new battle royal map developed by Activision. It’s described as a “dense urban landscape with 5 major points of interest.”

There will also be an in-game narrative task that players may perform that relates to it. Players can also use Urban Tracker to explore Krai’s huge region and investigate.

In addition, there will be a new battle royale class called the Teleport class. If you enjoy moving swiftly over the map, this is the class for you. Its unique power is to place a particular beacon and then teleport to it from any place on the map.

So, the goal is to find a suitable hiding area. You’ll be able to get there in the blink of an eye, which may come in handy. Consider it akin to a tactical insertion in previous Call of Duty games, but better.

Activision will also be providing a new weapon for players to acquire. USS 9 SMG. Basically, it’s a lot of the same stuff Activision offered for their fourth anniversary last year.

Players can participate in themed events throughout the celebration.

Season 10 of Call of Duty: Mobile will not begin for another several days. Once it happens, players should keep an eye out for anniversary and themed events.

The anniversary celebrations began on November 6 at 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. So that’s Wednesday, around the conclusion of the workday for most folks. This means you’ll be able to jump right in when you get home.
